Potônske Lúky (Hungarian Patonyrét ) is a municipality in southwest Slovakia with 283 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019). It belongs to the Okres Dunajská Streda , part of the Trnavský kraj .
geography
The municipality is located in the northern part of the Great Schüttinsel , part of the Slovak Danube lowlands , on the right bank of the Little Danube . The center of the village is at an altitude of 116 m nm and is 18 kilometers from Dunajská Streda .
Neighboring communities are Čierny Brod (via the Ostrov exclave) in the north, Horná Potôň in the northeast, east and south and Blahová in the west.
history
Potônske Lúky as a municipality was created on January 1, 2003 by outsourcing from the municipality of Horná Potôň; until then, the later municipality was called Horná Potôň - Lúky .
The history of the later town is therefore largely identical to that of the Horná Potôň municipality.
population
According to the 2011 census, there were 263 inhabitants in Potônske Lúky, including 196 Magyars, 61 Slovaks and three Czechs. One resident indicated a different ethnic group and two residents gave no information. 226 residents committed themselves to the Roman Catholic Church, ten residents to the Evangelical Church AB, five residents to the Orthodox Church, three residents to the Reformed Church and two residents to the Evangelical Methodist Church. Eleven residents were without religious denomination and the denomination of six residents was not determined.
