San Andrés (Satué)
The Roman Catholic parish church of San Andrés in Satué , a district of the municipality of Sabiñánigo in the Spanish province of Huesca in the autonomous community of Aragon , was built in the 11th century. The Romanesque church has been a protected architectural monument since 1982 ( Bien de Interés Cultural ).
history
The Apostle Andreas consecrated church was built from 1050 to 1060 and was subordinate to the San Juan de la Peña .
The structure was damaged during the Spanish Civil War . In the 1970s, the church was extensively restored with the help of the Amigos de Serrablo .
architecture
The single-nave church is made of carefully worked stone . It has a semicircular choir , divided into five blind arcades , over which a frieze with round bars runs. The long sides of the church are supported by two buttresses . The tower was added later. A simple, arched portal is on the south side.
