history

In the geographic lexicon of 1802 the place is described as follows: “Sandhof, near Oestheim, a court of two households located in the imperial city of Rothenburg , of which the Sulz monastery is entitled to the validity, tax, fief and bailiff , but from which since the Prussian official organization a few years ago these responsibilities were transferred to the Kameralamt zu Insingen [Sp. 38] have been referred, in which place Sandhof is also parish. "

With the community edict (early 19th century), the place was assigned to the tax district Gailnau and the rural community Insingen.
