Sandrine Benz
Sandrine Benz (born August 21, 1984 in Steinach ) is a Swiss duathlete and triathlete .
Career
In June 2014, the then 30-year-old became the amateurs triathlon champion in Kitzbühel.
The sports teacher Sandrine Benz became triathlon world champion in the age group 30-34 on the sprint distance in August 2014 and in September 2015 she also became world champion on the short distance after an injury break.
In 2016 she took third place at the Swiss championship on the Olympic distance (1.5 km swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running).
In September 2017 she was third in the world championship on the triathlon sprint distance in Rotterdam. In October she was second in the quarter marathon at the marathon of the 3 countries on Lake Constance . In May 2018, she announced on social media that she had to take a health break.
In March 2020, the 35-year-old finished in Spain as the best Swiss woman in 18th place at the European Duathlon Championships.
