Sara Canning

Sara Canning (born July 14, 1987 in Gander , Newfoundland , Newfoundland and Labrador ) is a Canadian actress .

Life

As the daughter of Wayne and Daphne Canning, Canning showed an early interest in acting and soon pursued the goal of pursuing such a career path. When she was young, she liked to skate and played theater on an open-air stage at various festivals in her city. After graduating from high school, she studied journalism at the University of Alberta , but left it and went to Vancouver at the age of nineteen, still intending to be an actress. In the years that followed, she took acting classes and made a living as a waitress.

In 2009, she first received a leading role as Jenna Sommers in the mystery series Vampire Diaries . At the beginning of the shooting she lived in Atlanta , where it is also produced. After the death of her character in the penultimate episode of the second season, Canning returned to Vancouver , Canada and has signed up to star in two television films that year: Hunt for the I-5 Killer and Blitzed . In March 2012 she was the female lead role of Dylan Weir in the Primeval - spin-off Primeval: New World alongside Niall Matter .

In addition to her activities as an actress, Canning also aims to direct and write screenplays. In 2010 she helped write a love story set in the wild west.
