Sarah Sandeh

Sarah Sandeh (born July 7, 1980 in Darmstadt ) is a German-Iranian theater, film and television actress .

Life

After her birth, her parents stayed in Germany since 1979 due to the political developments in Iran . As a young adult, Sandeh's father was part of an artists' collective in Tehran and worked as an architect in Germany. She grew up in Hesse and Ohio ( United States ), where she received a scholarship to the School for Creative and Performing Arts . After graduating from high school, Sarah Sandeh first studied psychology and theater, film and media studies at the Goethe University Frankfurt . Between 2003 and 2007 she completed the diploma course in performing arts at the Westphalian Drama School Bochum-Folkwang University . She subsequently moved to Berlin for the first time and traveled to Tehran for the first time .

From 2008 to 2010 she was a member of the ensemble at the Schauspiel Leipzig under the direction of Sebastian Hartmann . She then stood in front of the camera for various films , including the movie Hey Bunny and the ARD feature film Hit Mom . She has also made guest appearances at theaters such as the Volksbühne Berlin , the Schauspiel Frankfurt , Kampnagel Hamburg and the Schauspiel Hannover . The encounter with Dimiter Gotscheff shaped her particularly. In 2016 Sarah Sandeh moved from Berlin to Zurich and became a member of the ensemble at Theater Neumarkt . Since 2019 she has been living and working in Germany again.
