The Saumort is a river in France that runs in the Deux-Sèvres department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region . It rises under the name Ruisseau des Jinchères near the hamlet of La Limousinière in the western municipality of Vernoux-en-Gâtine , generally drains in a southerly direction and after about 19 kilometers flows into the Autise as a right tributary at the municipal boundary of Ardin and Fenioux .
