The Saye is a river in France that runs in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region . It rises in the municipal area of Chepniers , drains in the upper reaches in a south-westerly direction, later turns to the southeast, passes a zone of the wine-growing region of Bordeaux and flows after a total of 42 kilometers at the municipal boundary of Galgon and Savignac-de-l'Isle as a left tributary into the Isle . On its way, the Saye crosses the Charente-Maritime and Gironde departments .
