Marl marl

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Schönmergel was a residential area in the Prussian province of Pomerania . Today it lies in a desolate area of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland .

The desert is located in Western Pomerania , about 55 kilometers southeast of Stettin and about 19 kilometers southeast of the district town of Pyritz .

Schönmergel was laid out in 1827 as the second Vorwerk of the Schönow manor after Wilhelminenhof . The landlord, Friedrich Ludwig von Knobelsdorff, had it built about ¼ mile east of Schönow on the land of two former farms that had already been moved into the estate. The toponym "Schönmergel" was approved by the government in 1828 ; it should refer to good marl in the arable soil. Around 1845, 6 residents were counted in one house in Schönmergel.

In the census in the German Empire in 1871 , 1 residential house, but only 0 inhabitants were counted in Schönmergel, which belonged to the Schönow estate .

Today the desert lies in the area of Gmina Przelewice (municipality of Prillwitz) in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship .
