The Shish ( Russian Шиш ) is a right tributary of the Irtysh in the Russian Oblast of Omsk in western Siberia .

The shish rises in the Wassjuganje swamps on the border with Tomsk Oblast . From there it flows in a westerly direction through the West Siberian lowlands . He shows countless river loops . Finally, after 378 km, it meets the Irtysh on the right . The Schisch drains an area of ​​5270 km². 149 km above the mouth at the Atirka gauge, the mean discharge is 15 m³ / s. The river freezes between late October and early November. At the end of April / beginning of May the Schisch is ice-free again.
