The Schlalacher Mühlengraben is an approximately 12.2 kilometer long right tributary of the Brück-Neuendorfer Canal in Brandenburg , west of the city of Treuenbrietzen . It is part of the Nuthe-Nieplitz Nature Park .

course

The Schlalacher Mühlengraben rises in the extreme southwest of the Nuthe-Nieplitz Nature Park at the transition from the Glogau-Baruther glacial valley to the Fläming and the Zauche , about one kilometer south of the village of Nichel . From there, the Schlalacher Mühlengraben crosses under the state road 85, immediately afterwards a river also known as the Mühlengraben flows into the Schlalacher Mühlengraben from the left . The Schlalacher Mühlengraben flows from Nichel through the Nicheler Wiesen area and crosses the village of Schlalach , where it runs parallel to the road to the Mühle . There is a water mill there , which was first mentioned in Charles IV's land book in 1375 and was used for paper production. Operations stopped in 1974, but the buildings are still there.

At the end of the road, the Schlalacher Mühlengraben initially runs parallel to the district boundary of Schlalach and finally on the district of Brachwitz through the Neue Wiesen , on the way it is drained through several unnamed connecting ditches. After a total length of 12.2 kilometers, the Schlalacher Mühlengraben flows into the Brück-Neuendorfer Canal , at this point the Schlalacher Mühlengraben forms the boundary between Alt Bork and Brachwitz and thus at the same time the municipality boundary between Linthe and Treuenbrietzen. The closest place to the estuary is Birkhorst , a settlement belonging to the city of Beelitz .

The municipality of Mühlenfließ , through which most of the Schlalacher Mühlengraben flows, is named after the river.
