geography
course
The Schlichenbach rises in the Taunus , south of Usingen and west of Neu-Anspach -Westerfeld in a wooded area northeast of the Reifertsberg in the field of district Neu-Anspach. To the east and south of the headwaters are prehistoric barrows . The Schlichenbach initially flows westwards. It changes its direction to the northwest and is fed on its left by two nameless inlets. Its direction of travel is now oriented more to the north. He leaves the forest on the border between Neu-Arnspach and Usingen. After flowing through a small pool , it changes its direction again to the northwest and finally flows southwest of the gallows head from the right side into the USA. The Binzelberg castle stables are said to have been located between Galgenkopf and Schlichenbach .
