The suspension railway station Oberbarmen Bahnhof is the eastern terminus of the Wuppertal suspension railway . It is located in the Oberbarmen district of Wuppertal . The Wuppertal-Oberbarmen train station , which gives it its name, is located nearby .
construction
The suspension railway terminus Oberbarmen Bahnhof is located high above the Wupper and has side platforms, which are accessed via spiral stairs . Elevators are available for barrier-free access .
location
Immediately to the south of the suspension railway station is the Oberbarmen Bahnhof bus station and the entrance to the Wuppertal-Oberbarmen station , which means that onward travelers can easily change trains.
To the east of the suspension railway terminus there is a loop for turning the railways and a suspension railway depot . In contrast to the Vohwinkel suspension railway terminus at the other end of the line, trains can only be parked in Oberbarmen, while the main workshop is also located in Vohwinkel. Until 2012, sweeping suspension railways still had to pass through the Oberbarmer depot; since a renovation, this is no longer necessary today.
service
The suspension railway station is served by the only suspension railway line, line 60, which has its eastern end point there.
