The Robert-Daum-Platz suspension railway station is a stop on the Wuppertal suspension railway in the west of Elberfeld . Together with the square of the same name , it forms a major traffic junction on the border between the Wuppertal districts of Elberfeld and Elberfeld-West . The Luisenviertel and Deweerth'sche Garten can be reached via the station .

By 1987 the Wuppertal tram also followed the B 7 and had a branch into Briller Straße to the final stop at fork point .
The accident site on April 12, 1999
The accident on April 12, 1999 occurred near Robert-Daum-Platz , in which five people died and 47 others were injured. A memorial plaque in the station commemorates the accident.

At Robert-Daum-Platz there is a connection in two directions. Some bus routes follow the B 7 in the course of the Wupper to the west, most of them leave the valley axis to the north. All lines operate Wuppertal central station Ohligsmühle (Hauptbahnhof) , during the rebuilding of the Döppersberg the central bus station at the main station replaced.
