The Wupperfeld suspension railway station is a station on the Wuppertal suspension railway in the Oberbarmen district of the city of Wuppertal . It is located on the waterway between the suspension railway stations Werther Brücke (towards Vohwinkel ) and Oberbarmen Bahnhof (towards Oberbarmen).
As part of the modernization of the suspension railway, the station was completely rebuilt in 2002.
location
The Wupperfeld stop is located in the west of Oberbarmen, directly on the border with the Heckinghausen district , whose districts and locations it also opens up. It is located near the old church of Wupperfeld , the Immanuelskirche and the Heidt district .
Architecture and history
The specialty of the station is that it was built in a curve. Wupperfeld is also the highest station above the Wupper . The design of the new building comes from the architect Claudia Drosdowski and was completed on July 9, 2002.
