The suspension railway station Westende is a station of the Wuppertal suspension railway in the Elberfeld-West district of the city of Wuppertal . It is located on the waterway between the suspension railway stations Varresbecker Straße (towards Vohwinkel) and Pestalozzistraße (towards Oberbarmen).
As part of the modernization of the suspension railway, the station was rebuilt on April 17, 2001 and completed. The architects Jaspert and Steffens from Cologne built 40 cubic meters of concrete , 274 square meters of glass and 274 tons of steel .

Westende is located directly on Friedrich-Ebert-Straße ( B 7 ). The eastern part of the Bayer plant is also in the immediate vicinity , as is the Elberfeld thermal power station, which was operated until 2018 . The station is named after the location Westende , whose name it has borne from the beginning.
It forms a group with the stations Varresbecker Straße , Pestalozzistraße and Robert-Daum-Platz .
