Beatbetrieb was a Christian band from Stuttgart .

history

In 1997 Andreas Volz , Felix Neun, Tobi Wörner and Theo Eißler founded the band Beatbetrieb and in 1998 released a maxi CD of the same name together with producer Derek von Krogh. From the beginning of 2000 Michael Janz was there instead of Andreas Volz and Felix Neun. In 2000 the band acted as an interpreter in the production WWJD: What Would Jesus Do? - The CD! of the publishing house Gerth Medien . At the Expo 2000 in Hanover , the band performed at the satellite broadcast youth event JesusHouse in the pavilion of hope , which was chosen as the symbol of the world exhibition. In the fall of 2001 the band got a recording deal with Polydor and in September 2002 the single If you want it so went to number 75 on the charts. A music video was produced for this purpose, which the music television broadcaster MTV played for several weeks. In March 2003 she achieved a surprising 2nd place in the German preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest in Kiel with the song What do you believe in? . After the production of the single Raus aus dem Labyrinth , Theo Eißler left Beatbetrieb in July 2003. In the same year, the radio stations Fitz , N-Joy , Bremen Vier , MDR Jump and SR1 nominated the Stuttgart trio with the single If you want it so, together with colleagues like Ben or Joy Denalane for the ECHO Young Talent Award of German radio. In 2004 her title Die neue Zeitrechnung was published on the CD “ Zeichen der Zeit ”. As of January 2006, Beatbetrieb had five members: guitarist Winnie Schweitzer, bassist Markus Spider Dilger, keyboardist Ralf Schuon, drummer Tobi Wörner and singer Michael Janz . In March 2006, an acoustic album was recorded live on two evenings in the Stuttgart Club Rosenau .

Beatbetrieb describes their musical style as "meanstream pop with hip hop influences and rap interludes".
