Selhausen is the smallest district of Niederzier in the Düren district . It is located on the main road between Krauthausen and Huchem-Stammeln . The Rur flows past the western edge of the village.
history
From 1794 the left bank of the Rhine and thus Selhausen was under French rule . From 1798 to 1814 Selhausen belonged to the Mairie Birkesdorf in the Département de la Roer . In the population list of 1799, 41 residents and a stock of 10 houses are shown for Selhausen. On January 1, 1972, Selhausen was incorporated into Niederzier.

The next motorway junction is Düren on the A 4 . The next train stations are the Düren train station on the high-speed line Cologne – Aachen and a separate, newly built stop on the Jülich – Düren railway line in 1995 .
