Selina (born March 26, 1993 in Ehringshausen ; full name Selina Shirin Müller ) is a German pop singer and actress.

Life

Müller grew up in Hessen, initially got involved in the local carnival club and began to sing there.

music

In 2005 she performed at the Hessentag in Weilburg, among others . She won the "Gambach sucht den Superstar" and the "Sinner Song Contest".

At the age of 12, she took part in the ORF Kiddy Contest in Vienna and took fourth place. In March 2006 she appeared in the KiKA LIVE competition “Best Voice Wanted!” And emerged as the winner. It was here that Jeanette Biedermann became aware of her.

When KiKA was looking for a singer for its tenth birthday song, Jeanette Biedermann put her in touch. Biedermann wrote Selina's single Dein Tag together with her guitarist Jörg Weißelberg . With this and another song (Just for you) Selina was on the KiKA summer tour in several German cities in 2007. In 2008 the second single Ich bin nicht mehr ich , again produced by Jeanette Biedermann, was released. The song became the title track of the movie Freche Mädchen , in which Müller also played one of the main roles (Hanna). The song reached the top 50 of the charts and Müller performed with it on the music show The Dome 47 in front of a large audience. Four more songs were released on the soundtrack to the film by Selina.

Shortly afterwards, the debut album Girls always come ... (to the goal) , which was also produced by Biedermann and Weißelberg, was released. The album stayed in the top 70 of the charts for a week. The third and final single from the album was Damned Alive . For the soundtrack to the movie Freche Mädchen 2 , Müller recorded four new songs. In November 2010, the single Dreams was released as part of the series Hand on Heart . The single entered the top 20 of the charts in the first week and stayed in the charts for three weeks. In April of the following year an entire album, The Soundtrack , was released under the title of the series.

Acting

Müller also starred in the movie Freche Mädchen , which was released in German cinemas on July 17, 2008. In this girlie comedy she plays with Wilson Gonzalez Ochsenknecht , Anke Engelke and Armin Rohde , among others . She casts the role of "Hanna" and also sings the title song I'm not me anymore for the film. In 2010, Selina Shirin Müller played Hanna again in the sequel, Freche Mädchen 2 , this time alongside Armin Rohde with Matthias Brandt , Tom Gerhardt and Barbara Schöneberger . In summer 2011 she was seen in the movie Homies as "Lili". In 2010 she also took on a leading role in the episode “Muscle Games” in the series krimi.de .

Since August 2010, Müller was for the Sat.1 Soap Hand on heart as Luzi Beschenko front of the camera. The soap opera ended in summer 2011.
