Selma Rosun (born April 26, 1991 in Saint-Pierre ) is a Mauritian javelin thrower .

Athletic career

Selma Rosun gained her first international experience at the Junior African Championships 2009 in Bambous , where she won the bronze medal with a width of 44.42 m. The following year she took part in the African Championships in Nairobi and reached tenth place with 43.41 m. In 2011 she was fifth at the African Games in Maputo with 43.14 m and sixth at the 2012 African Championships in Porto-Novo with 45.93 m. In 2013 she won the bronze medal at the Francophonie Games in Nice with a throw of 49.36 m. In 2014 she took part in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow for the first time and finished twelfth with 47.39 m. Then she won the bronze medal behind the South African Sunette Viljoen and Zuta Mary Nartey from Ghana at the African Championships in Marrakech with a width of 48.04 m . At the African Games 2015 in Brazzaville she finished sixth with 48.49 m and was seventh at the African Championships in Durban the following year with 48.90 m. In 2017 she reached fourth place at the Francophonie Games in Abidjan with 48.02 m and in 2018 she finished seventh at the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast with a throw of 49.09 m. In August she finished fifth at the African Championships in Asaba with 50.65 m.

In 2019 she again took part in the Africa Games in Rabat , where she was classified in fifth place with 51.81 m.
