The white grape variety Semidano is an autochthonous variety from the island of Sardinia , Italy . The cultivation of the variety is recommended in the provinces of Cagliari , Nuoro and Oristano . It is also approved in the province of Sassari . In 1999 the area under vines was only 91 hectares .

The late-ripening variety only produces poor and, moreover, irregular yields. The wines are rich in alcohol and delicate, very fragrant and not very acidic . They are often blended with the Nuragus variety . The white wines are included in the DOC wines Nuragus di Cagliari and Sardegna Semidano .

The Semidano grape variety is also known under the names Arvusiniagu, Laconarzu, Migiu, Mizu, Mizzu, Semidamu, Semidana Bianca, Semidano Bianco, Semidano di Nurri, Semidanu, Semidanu Blanc and Seminanu .
