Nuragus di Cagliari

The Nuragus di Cagliari DOC or Sardegna Nuragus di Cagliari is a dry or sweet white wine or sparkling wine ( frizzante ) from the Italian island of Sardinia . Since November 29, 1974, the wines have had the status of a "controlled designation of origin " ( Denominazione di origine controllata - DOC), which was last updated on March 7, 2014.

Cultivation

The zone includes municipalities in the provinces of Cagliari , Carbonia Iglesias , Medio Campidano and Oristano .

In 2016, 13,723 hectoliters of DOC wine were produced from 123 hectares of vineyards.

generation

The white wine is mainly made from Nuragus grapes (85-100%). It also gives the wine its name. The wine may be blended with other permitted white varieties (up to 15%). A sparkling wine ( Frizzante ) is also offered.
