Alghero (wine)
Under the name Alghero DOC are white , rosé and red wines produced in different typologies. The growing area is north of the eponymous municipality of Alghero in the province of Sassari on the Italian island of Sardinia . Since 1995 the wines have had a "controlled designation of origin " ( Denominazione di origine controllata - DOC), which was last updated on March 7, 2014.
Cultivation
Cultivation and production are only permitted in the municipalities of Alghero , Olmedo , Ossi , Tissi , Usini , Uri , Ittiri and in parts of the municipality of Sassari (all in the province of Sassari).
In 2017, 14,240 hectoliters of DOC wine were produced from 709 hectares of vineyards.

- Alcohol content: at least 11.0 % by volume , for "Riserva" at least 12.0% by volume
- Acidity : at least 4.5 g / l
- Dry extract: at least 18.0 g / l, for "Riserva" at least 20.0 g / l
