The Senate Chancellery of the State of Bremen is a state authority in Bremen that supports the mayor of the Hanseatic city , who is also President of the Senate, in performing his duties.

The Bremen Senate Chancellery is housed in the Bremen Town Hall and consists of four departments : The state department, which is responsible for the connection between the Bremen government on the one hand and the federal states, the federal government and other state bodies on the other, the coordination and planning department, the Minutes and Foreign Affairs Department and the Press and Information Department. The Senate Chancellery had around 90 employees in 2019. Head of the Senate Chancellery (CdS) has been State Councilor Thomas Ehmke since August 2019 .

Among other things, she is responsible for the organization of events and the reception of official guests of the Bremen state government as well as protocol matters and also offers citizens advice. It has the legal and technical supervision of the 17 local offices in Bremen .
