The Wippershainer Höhe transmission tower is located about 1.3 kilometers north of Wippershain , near Bad Hersfeld in the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district at 454 m above sea level. NN . The 75 meter high transmission tower ( type tower ) built in reinforced concrete was part of the Hessian DAB transmission network.
The region is supplied with VHF via the basic network transmitters Hoher Meißner , Heidelstein and Rimberg as well as via the nearby small transmitter Bad Hersfeld (Obersberg). The Bavarian location in Kreuzberg is also very easy to receive.
Digital terrestrial television ( DVB-T ) comes for the North Hesse region from the Hoher Meißner locations and the Habichtswald telecommunications tower on the Essigberg near Kassel. In the East Hesse region, the DVB-T channels Heidelstein and Rimberg can be used for Hesse and Kreuzberg for Bavaria. A roof antenna may even enable the reception of DVB-T Rhine-Main from the Großer Feldberg near Frankfurt am Main .
In general, a roof antenna aligned to the respective transmitter location is recommended for any reception.
