Sepp Rieder
Josef Rieder, known as Sepp Rieder (born December 25, 1939 in Vienna ), is a former Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). From 1989 to 2007 he was a member of six Viennese city senates and provincial governments as the executive city councilor or vice mayor and has been an honorary citizen of Vienna since October 2, 2007 .
Life
education and profession
After attending primary school and high school (Matura 1957), Sepp Rieder studied law at the University of Vienna from 1957 to 1961 (doctorate in 1961) and was then a candidate judge from 1962 to 1965. In 1965 he was appointed district judge and assigned to the Ministry of Justice. In his last role there - he was head of the criminal legislative and public relations departments - he worked closely with Justice Minister Christian Broda . During this time, Sepp Rieder was involved in the reform of the criminal law .
At the Paris-Lodron University in Salzburg , Rieder was a lecturer for media law and professional law for journalists at the journalism institute.

Sepp Rieder has been married to Anita Rieder for around 40 years and has two grown-up children.

- 2000-23. March 2007 President of the Vienna Tourism Association
In 2007 Sepp Rieder retired.
During his tenure as the official city councilor for health and hospitals, the establishment of the Vienna Hospital Association was completed and the first independent and independent patient advocacy in Austria was created.
