State government and city senate Zilk II

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Provincial government and city senate Zilk II was the name for the Vienna provincial government and the Vienna city senate under Mayor and Governor Helmut Zilk . The new election of the city senate followed the state and municipal council elections in Vienna in 1987 , in which the SPÖ was able to defend its absolute majority. The city government was elected on December 9, 1987 and was in office until 1991.

As the first member of the SPÖ government, Helmut Braun resigned from office, he was replaced by Michael Häupl on January 29, 1988 . Günther Sallaberger resigned his post on June 22, 1989, and Hannes Swoboda took over on the same day . The last government reshuffle took place on December 15, 1989, when Alois Stacher was replaced by Sepp Rieder .

There were also several changes in the city councils of the opposition. Erhard Busek resigned on April 24, 1989 and was replaced by Walter Nettig on May 29, 1989 . Günther Engelmayer resigned on April 2, 1990, and was succeeded by Wolfgang Petrik on April 27, 1990 . Petrik himself resigned on November 25, 1990, and was replaced by Heinrich Wille the following day . The FPÖ city councilor Rainer Pawkowicz did not complete his term of office either, but was replaced by Hilmar Kabas on November 26, 1990 .
