State government and city senate Gratz III
State government and city senate Gratz III was the name for the Vienna state government and the Vienna city senate under the mayor and governor Leopold Gratz between 1978 and 1983. The state government Gratz III officiated from the inauguration on November 13, 1978 (after the state and municipal council elections 1978 ) until for the inauguration of the state government Gratz IV on May 27, 1983. The election of the vice mayor and deputy governor took place on November 15, 1978.
In February 1979 a major government reshuffle was undertaken. The incumbent city councilors Hans Böck , Kurt Heller and Hubert Pfoch resigned from their office on February 14, 1979; Johann Hatzl , Josef Veleta and Helmut Zilk first succeeded them as city councilors before they became executive city councilors on February 27, 1979.
