Serbów ( German Zerbow, formerly Cerbow) is a village in the rural community Rzepin in the powiat Słubicki of the Polish Lubusz Voivodeship and has about 270 inhabitants.

geography

Serbów is located in the Neumark on the road connecting Frankfurt (Oder) to Ośno Lubuskie ( Drossen ). The place is at an altitude of about 75 meters above sea level.

history

After the Congress of Vienna in 1816 Zerbow was in the county Sternberg and after its division from 1873 to 1945 in the district of West Sternberg in the administrative district of Frankfurt of the province of Brandenburg . In 1938 the place had 225 inhabitants.

After the end of the Second World War , the village and the region were placed under Polish administration in the spring of 1945 . In the following years the inhabitants were from their village expelled and replaced by Poles.
