Sergei Nikolajewitsch Ignaschewitsch ( Russian Сергей Николаевич Игнашевич ; English transcription: Sergey Ignashevich ; born July 14, 1979 in Moscow , USSR ) is a former Russian football player and current football coach. He played as a defender for CSKA Moscow since 2004 and was part of the Russian national team .

Career

society

Sergei Ignaschewitsch played for the Krylja Sowetow Samara from the beginning of 1999 to the end of 2000 , before moving to Lokomotiv Moscow in early 2001 . After playing three seasons with Lokomotiv and winning the Russian championship in 2002 and 2004 and the Russian Supercup in 2003, he moved to CSKA Moscow in early 2004 . There he achieved the greatest success of his career so far in the 2004/05 season , winning the UEFA Cup . He also won in 2005, 2006, 2013 and 2014 once again the Russian Championship and 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2013, the Russian Cup . In 2009 a doping test of him was positive for the drug Sudafed and he was banned from a game by UEFA.

After his active career, he has been training the Russian second division team Torpedo Moscow since summer 2019 .

National team

On September 7, 2002 Ignashevich made his debut in the Russian national team in a 4-2 win over Ireland . His first goals came against Switzerland on June 7, 2003 , when he scored both goals in a 2-2 draw. Ignaschewitsch was appointed to the squad of his home country for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and played the full playing time in the first two group matches against South Korea (1-1) and Belgium (0-1). On June 26, 2014, he made his 100th international match in the third game against Algeria . Ignashevich has been Russia's record international player since September 8, 2015 , when he beat Viktor Onopko's previous record with his 110th international match , making him the only record Russian national player.

At the European Football Championship in France in 2016 , he was included in the Russian squad . He played all three group games over the full playing time, then the tournament for Russia was finished bottom of the group.

He is also in the squad of the Russian team at the 2018 World Cup .

Sergei Ignaschewitsch is married for the second time and has three sons, two of them from the first marriage. He has Belarusian and Chuvash roots
