Sergei Ivanov (born July 18, 1984 in Tallinn , Estonian SSR ) is an Estonian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Tallinn Viiking Sport in the Meistriliiga since 2011 .

Career

Ivanov started his career as a hockey player with Tallinna JSK . After a short detour to HK Karud , he played from 2003 to 2006 with the Tallinn Stars , with whom he won the Estonian championship in 2005 and 2006 . After spending the 2006/07 season at local rivals Tallinna Eagles , he returned to the Stars for another year. He has been playing for Tallinn Viiking Sport since 2011 and won the Estonian title with the club again in 2013 and 2014.

International

In the junior division, Ivanov took part for Estonia in the Europe Division I of the U18 World Cup 2000 and the Division II tournaments of the U18 World Championships in 2001 and 2002 . At the U20 World Championships he played in Division II in 2001 , Division III in 2002 and Division I in 2004 .

With the men's national team , he played at the World Championships in Division I in 2004 , 2005 and 2013 and in Division II in 2012 . He also represented his colors at the qualifying tournaments for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi .
