Serkan Çalık (born March 15, 1986 in Dinslaken ) is a Turkish - German football player . He's playing in a storm .

Career

In the club

In his youth, Çalık played at MSV Duisburg and Borussia Mönchengladbach before moving to Rot-Weiss Essen in 2004 . In 2006 he rose to the 2nd Bundesliga with Rot-Weiss Essen . For the 2007/08 season he moved together with Barış Özbek from Essen to the traditional Turkish club Galatasaray Istanbul . His first goal for Galatasaray Çalık scored on November 12, 2007 in the league game against Gençlerbirliği Ankara .

In the winter break of 2009/10 Serkan moved to Gençlerbirliği Ankara . In July 2011 he was arrested on suspicion of match fixing. At Gençlerbirliği he was regularly set up by trainer Thomas Doll and his successor Ralf Zumdick . In the first half of the 2011/12 season he was no longer preferred by the new coach Fuat Çapa and only came to only one game. As a result, his current contract was terminated by mutual agreement after a clarifying discussion with the coach and club management during the winter break.

He then moved to the Turkish second division club Kayseri Erciyesspor . At the end of the season he left Erciyesspor and moved to league rivals Şanlıurfaspor . He left this club during the winter break and moved to Samsunspor for the second half of the season .

In the summer of 2014, Çalık moved a league lower to Yeni Malatyaspor . With this club, he reached the championship on the 34th and last day of the 2014/15 season and thus promoted to the TFF 1st Lig . After this success he moved to the Istanbul third division team Sarıyer SK for the following season . For the 2016/17 season he signed a contract with third division club Kırklarelispor . During the winter break, Çalık changed clubs again and went to Menemen Belediyespor .

National team

For the German U21 national team , Çalık completed five games and scored one goal. In January 2008, however, Çalık decided to play for the Turkish national team in the future .
