The Seugne is a river in France that runs in the Charente-Maritime department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region . It rises on the municipal boundary of Montlieu-la-Garde and Chepniers and generally drains in a north-westerly direction. At the village of Colombiers the river divides. The main arm running to the west flows into the Charente as a left tributary after around 83 kilometers in the municipality of Les Gonds , on the outskirts of Saintes . The eastern arm also flows into the Charente at the municipal border of Courcoury and Saint-Sever-de-Saintonge .
