Courcoury is a French municipality with 690 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Saintes and the Canton of Thénac (until 2015: Canton Saintes-Est ). The inhabitants are called Courcourois (es) .

geography

Courcoury is about five kilometers southeast of Saintes . The Charente limits the municipality to the north, the Seugne tributary to the west. Courcoury is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Chaniers in the north and northeast, Saint-Sever-de-Saintonge in the east and southeast, Montils in the south and southeast, Berneuil in the south and Les Gonds in the west.
