Vénérand Town Hall

Vénérand is a western French community with 761 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . Vénérand belongs to the Arrondissement Saintes and the Canton of Chaniers (until 2015: Canton Saintes-Nord ). The inhabitants are called Vénérandais .

geography

Vénérand is about ten kilometers northeast of Saintes in the Saintonge . Vénérand is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Le Douhet in the north and west, Écoyeux in the north and east, Saint-Césaire in the southeast, La Chapelle-des-Pots in the south and Fontcouverte in the southwest.
