Corme-Royal town center

Corme-Royal is a western French community with 1,839 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Saintes and the Canton of Thénac (until 2015: Canton Saujon ). The inhabitants are called cormillons .

location

Corme-Royal is located in the old cultural landscape of the Saintonge about 14 kilometers west of Saintes . Corme-Royal is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Sulpice-d'Arnoult in the north and north-west, Soulignonne in the north and north-east, Nieul-lès-Saintes in the east, La Clisse in the east and south-east, Luchat in the south-east, Pisany in the south, and Saint -Romain-de-Benet in the southwest and Balanzac in the west.
