Sharif Atkins (born January 29, 1975 in Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania , United States ) is an American film actor .

Life

Sharif Atkins was born in Pittsburgh, but spent his childhood in Chicago , Illinois . His father, David Atkins, is a lawyer , his mother, Jacqueline Atkins, a museum director. His sister now works as an engineer.

Atkins graduated from Whitney Young High School and made his first living as a waiter and warehouse clerk at Victoria's Secret . With the money saved in this way, he attended Northwestern University , which he graduated with a degree in theater studies in 1997 .

In 1998 he made his film debut in an episode of the television series Alone Against the Future . Among other roles, mostly in television series, who embodied African American 2001-2006 the Dr. Michael Gallant in 60 episodes of Emergency Room . Atkins also appeared in three episodes of 4400 - The Returners in 2005 and 2006 and in seven episodes of the series of the same name about and with the rapper Eve . In 2009, he made guest appearances on Cold Case , CSI: Miami and Criminal Minds .

From October 2009 to the end of 2014 Atkins played FBI agent Clinton Jones in all episodes of the crime series White Collar , this supporting role was upgraded to the lead role for the fourth season. He had a minor supporting role in the 2014 Marvel hit movie Guardians of the Galaxy .

Sharif Atkins made his debut as a film producer in 2004, as executive producer on the short film Something for Nothing, in which he also starred.
