Sharyhan Osman
Sharyhan Osman (born September 1, 1986 in Munich ) is a German - Egyptian singer .
Life
Osman grew up in a musical family: her mother is an opera singer, her grandfather was a chamber singer , the mother's brothers work as actors and one of her uncles directed the Hessian radio orchestra . She first grew up in her father's homeland, in Cairo . She started writing stories and making music as a child. She later lived in Deggendorf , after graduating from high school, she moved to Munich .
In 2005 she applied for the RTL casting show Deutschland sucht den Superstar , where she reached the top 20, but dropped out shortly before the motto shows. Then she returned to Deggendorf and sang in a jazz band . Viktor Worms took over the management . Together with producer Leslie Mandoki , she recorded an album at Park Studios in Tutzing , which was never released.
In 2010 she took part in Unser Star für Oslo , the German preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest . She met Meri Voskanian , with whom she left DSDS together. As one of the few participants, she performed her own compositions. Ultimately, she finished fifth.
After participating in USfO, she recorded an album with producer Philipp Schwär . The first single, Red Carpet , was released in May, followed by the release of the album My Year on the Jupiter label ( Sony Music Entertainment ) on August 24th . The album was recorded by Philipp Schwär in the Franz Plasas Home Studios. In addition to new songs, there are also two original compositions known from USfO: Osman was inspired by the Egyptian Nile for Feel the Nile , and she wrote In the City in London .
