Shayna Dulberger

Shayna Dulberger (born March 26, 1983 ) is an American jazz and improvisation musician ( double bass ).

Live and act

Shayna Dulberger grew up in Mahopac near Carmel (New York) and has been active in the New York music scene since 2005. She attended the Manhattan School of Music Preparatory School of the Arts to then study at the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University . She worked with William Parker (who was her mentor), Warren Smith and Joe Daley . She led her own band projects, such as the Kill Me Trio (with Darius Jones and Jason Nazary , album of the same name in 2007) and a quartet with Yoni Kretzmer , Chris Welcome and Carlo Costa . She also played in the formations of Jonathan Moritz , Chris Welcome, Bill Cole , Jeffrey Hayden Shurdut and Ras Moshe ( Transcendence , 2007). In the field of jazz she was involved in 12 recording sessions between 2004 and 2007.
