Shea Ellese Groom (born March 4, 1993 in Liberty , Missouri ) is an American soccer player who has been under contract with Reign FC in the National Women's Soccer League since the 2019 season .

Career

At the beginning of 2015, Groom was committed to twelfth place by FC Kansas City in the second round of the NWSL college draft . She made her league debut on April 12, 2015 against Sky Blue FC as a substitute for Erika Tymrak . For the 2018 season she moved to Sky Blue FC together with her teammate Christina Gibbons . From 2019 to the beginning of 2020 she was part of the Reign FC squad . In February 2020, she moved on to Houston Dash .

National team

Groom was appointed to the US U-23 selection for the first time in March 2014 for the six-nation tournament in La Manga and was used as part of the tournament. At the tournament of the following year she was again in the squad of the United States. In March 2016 she was part of the U-23 national team at the annual Istria Cup .
