Maegan Kelly (born February 19, 1992 in Kansas City , Missouri ) is an American - Canadian soccer player .
Career
society
During her studies at Marquette University , Kelly played from 2010 to 2013 for the university team there, the Marquette Golden Eagles . In January 2014, she was signed by the Kansas City FC franchise in the fourth round in the fourth round of the College Draft of the National Women's Soccer League . However, only a few weeks after the start of the season and without a league appearance, Kelly moved to the Icelandic first division club UMF Stjarnan , with whom she won the cup and championship double. In early 2015, she moved to the Finnish first division club Åland United , where her older sister Katie was also under contract. At the end of 2016 Kelly played for the Cypriot series champion Apollon Limassol, among other things, in the Champions League , where the end of the sixteenth finals against Slavia Prague came. For the 2017 season she returned to FC Kansas City and established herself as a regular player in the NWSL. After the franchise was dissolved at the turn of the year 2017/18, Kelly moved with most of the rest of the squad to the newly founded franchise of Utah Royals FC . However, she was not used there until her contract was terminated in June 2018. In the first half of 2019 Kelly played for the Italian first division club Atalanta Mozzanica , for whom she scored eight goals in nine league games. She returned to the United States in May 2019 and signed with Reign FC .
