Allysha Lyn Chapman (born January 25, 1989 in Oshawa , Ontario ) is a Canadian soccer player .
Career
societies
During her studies at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Louisiana State University , Chapman played for the local university teams of the UAB Blazers and LSU Tigers from 2007 to 2011 and also played for the W-League franchises of the Vancouver Whitecaps Women and Toronto Lady Lynx . In 2012 she moved to the Swedish second division club IK Sirius , with whom she was able to qualify for the 2013 newly introduced Elitettan . For the 2014 season she joined the first division promoted Eskilstuna United , with whom she could safely achieve relegation. She was assigned to the Houston Dash franchise at the National Women's Soccer League's annual player allocation in January 2015 . For the 2017 season, Chapman moved on to league rivals Boston Breakers . After the breakup of the NWSL team, the North Carolina Courage signed them. There, however, she only came on a brief assignment before returning to the Houston Dash in May 2018.
National team
From 2004, Chapman went through the Canadian youth national teams in the U-15 to U-20 age groups and took part with the latter in the 2008 CONCACAF U-20 Championship and the 2008 U-20 World Championship . On October 25, 2014, she made her debut in a friendly against Japan in the Canadian senior team and was part of the victorious Canadian squad at the 2015 Four Nations Tournament . At the Cyprus Cup 2015 , she scored her first international goal in the third group match against Italy and thus the 1-0 winner. In the final, however, the Canadians were defeated by the English 0-1.
In the same year she was appointed to the national team for the World Cup in her own country and used in all Canadians' games.
She was also on the roster for the 2016 Summer Olympics qualifier , where Canada qualified for the Olympics. She was used in all games and was voted the best left full-back on the tournament's all-star team.
On May 25, 2019, she was nominated for the 2019 World Cup. She was used in the four games of the Canadians, but was eliminated with her team in the round of 16 against the later third Sweden .
