Shirley Anne Hofmann

Shirley Anne Hofmann (* 1959 in Kingston, Ontario ) is a Canadian musician ( accordion , vocals , piano , trombone , euphonium , sousaphone , tuba , keyboards ).

Hofmann studied music at McGill University in Montreal. There were productions with Ripoff Raskolnikov , Dave Holland , Roscoe Mitchell , Julian Priester , Mani Neumeier , Mohamed Badawi , Nimal and Fish Shop Girls. Between 1990 and 1993 she was a member of the avant-garde rock band The Blech , with whom she released the album Liebeslieder . Then she started her solo program Euphoria and worked with the orchestra of Ben Jeger and Peeni Waali . She can also be heard on albums by L 'Ensemble Raye , Jellyfish Kiss and John Wolf Brennan .

Hofmann, who works mainly in Switzerland, has released several solo albums as a multi-instrumentalist on her own record label "Label UsineS".
