Shū Kamo ( Japanese 加 茂 周 , Kamo Shū ; born October 29, 1939 in Ashiya ) is a former Japanese football player and coach.
Career
Kamo played for Kwansei Gakuin University in his youth . He started his career at Yanmar Diesel (today: Cerezo Osaka). He played there from 1965 to 1967.
From 1974 to 1989 he was the coach of the Japan Soccer League club Nissan Motors . From 1991 to 1994 he was the coach of the Japan Soccer League club All Nippon Airways (today: Yokohama wing). In December 1994 he also took over the post of coach of the Japanese national soccer team . In October 1997, the Japanese Football Association announced the separation from Kamo. From 1999 to 2000 he was the coach of the J1 League club Kyoto Purple Sanga . In 2017 he was inducted into the Japan Football Hall of Fame .
