Sibylla Rubens
Sibylla Rubens (* 1970 ) is a German classical music singer with a soprano voice .
Life
Sibylla Rubens studied concert and opera singing at the State University of Music Trossingen and at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main . She was also a member of Irwin Gage's master class for song design and completed other master classes with Edith Mathis and Elsa Cavelti .
Rubens worked with conductors such as Helmuth Rilling , Michael Gielen , Rudolf Lutz and Philippe Herreweghe as well as the Berlin Philharmonic , Munich Philharmonic , the Saxon State Orchestra Dresden , the Gächinger Kantorei Stuttgart and the Windsbacher boys' choir and participated in 80 music productions.
In 2007 Rubens was appointed to the board of directors of the New Bach Society in Leipzig . She also gave master classes at the Oberstdorf Music Summer and at the Thuringian State Music Academy in Sondershausen . She has been a juror at the International Johann Sebastian Bach Competition in Leipzig since 2012 .
Rubens lives in Tübingen .
