Sibylle Mulot

Sibylle Mulot (former name: Sibylle Mulot-Déri , born May 3, 1950 in Reutlingen ) is a German writer .

Life

Sibylle Mulot, daughter of the literary historian and high school director Arno Mulot , completed after high school in 1968, a study of German and Romance studies in Tübingen , Zurich and Toulouse . In 1977 she did her doctorate in Tübingen on Robert Musil . From 1977 to 1979 she trained as a journalist at the Süddeutsche Zeitung .

Since 1992 she has been a freelance writer , the novels and short stories written, along with works from the Dutch translated .

In 1994 Mulot took part in the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition in Klagenfurt . In 1995 she received both an annual scholarship from the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Science and the First Prize of the “Salon de l'Alsatique” ( Marlenheim ) for the novel Neighbors . In April 2007 she was “ Writer in Residence ” at UCD ( University College Dublin ).
