The Simca Ariane was an upper mid-range sedan manufactured by the French car manufacturer Simca between 1957 and 1963. It was manufactured at the Poissy plant by combining the body of the first generation of the Simca Vedette with the 1.3 liter Flash engine (or the Rush engine) of the smaller Simca Aronde to fill the gap between these two models conclude.
The first model was presented in April 1957. A version with a more powerful engine was launched in October of the same year: the Simca Ariane 8 , which now had the same 2.4-liter Aquillon eight - cylinder engine as the Vedette. The Ariane 8 thus replaced the basic model Simca Vedette Trianon.
The Ariane was manufactured until 1963 with 166,363 vehicles produced.
