Simraungadh ( Nepali सिम्रौनगढ ) is a city in the central Terai of Nepal in the Bara district .

The city was created at the end of 2014 by amalgamating the Village Development Committees (VDCs) Amritganj , Golaganj , Hariharpur and Uchidia . It is located 27 km east-southeast of Birganj on the Indian border. The urban area of ​​Simraungadh covers 20.2 km².

Residents

At the 2011 census, the VDCs that made up the city of Simraungadh had 24,615 residents (12,635 of whom were male) in 3707 households.
