The Sims is a nearly 8 km long small river in the district of Rosenheim in Upper Bavaria , in Murnau in the village Stephanskirchen from the right and east in the lowest reaches of the Inn -Zuflusses Rohrdorfer Achen ends. Initially it runs on the edge of the municipality of Stephanskirchen to that of Riedering , later within the Stephanskirchen municipality marker .

geography

course

The Sims flows at its southern end from the north of Riedering at 470  m above sea level. NHN located Simssees and goes through the damp Achalterwiesen in the nature reserve south bank of the Simssees on the west course. Here it takes in a second short outflow from the lake from the right, travels a good bit through the protected area and then touches the district of Eitzing on its southern edge at the Krottenhausmühle . Further downstream it passes through the premises of Kohlhauf- and Pulvermühle , and then enters the forest area around the Lauterbacher Filze , where it picks up the Röthbach flowing in from Riedering- Niedermoosen in the south and then loops around another Stephanskirchener powder mill. In the subsequent Röthbachholz , its longest mill canal goes off to the right to Landlmühle , which it then takes up again after crossing under the railway line from Rohrdorf to Landl in the industrial area south of Landl . After the small river has also crossed Miesbacher Straße (St 2095) and passed through Murnau , it flows on its western edge to the wedge-shaped floodplain forest along the Inn in the Rohrdorfer Achen , which runs parallel to it here and is 300 meters further from the right of the Inn falls.
