Sinitta (2012)

Sinitta Renet Malone (born October 19, 1963 in Seattle , Washington ) is an American pop singer who was particularly successful in Great Britain .

Life

Career

Her mother, Miquel Brown , already had a few smaller hits from the late 1970s ( Symphony of Love ) and a worldwide Hi-NRG hit in 1983 with So Many Men, So Little Time. She came to the London musical Hair , in which she played Sheila.

Sinitta herself first appeared in TV shows, but then came to musicals ( Cats , The Wiz ). From 1981 a small film career began. So she played in Shock Treatment and 1986 in Foreign Bodies and Little Shop of Horrors . From 1983 Sinitta's first singles appeared. In addition, she took part in the British preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest in April 1984 . She achieved fourth place with her contribution Imagination .

So Macho / Cruising became their most successful single in the spring of 1986 and reached number two in Great Britain. From 1987 it was produced by Stock Aitken Waterman . The first joint single Toy Boy rose to number four in the late summer of 1987 and to number nine in Germany . In the spring of 1988, Cross My Broken Heart followed , which rose to number six in the UK. Sinitta's last major success was Right Back Where We Started From , which returned to fourth place in the UK in mid-1989.

In mid-1992, Shame, Shame, Shame placed another single at number 28 in Great Britain. The last chart success was The Supreme EP , which rose to number 49 in England in the spring of 1993.

In 2010 she took part in the fifth season of the British figure skating show Dancing on Ice . In 2011 Sinitta took part in the eleventh season of the British television show I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! part.

Private

In the late 1980s, Sinitta had an affair with Brad Pitt , whom she met at a party in London .
